DeepSeek Harness Desktop

An Electron desktop shell for the official DeepSeek Harness command-line tool, installing the engine from npm rather than bundling a copy of its source, with a plugin marketplace, tray icon, crash-recovery and Windows, Linux and macOS installers.

DeepSeek Harness Desktop

DeepSeek Harness Desktop is an Electron desktop application that wraps the official DeepSeek Harness, installing the engine from the official npm package at startup rather than copying its source into this repository, so an update to the official harness only needs a menu-driven check rather than reinstalling the desktop shell. It provides installers for Windows, Linux and macOS on both x64 and arm64, including Intel Macs, a desktop shortcut and icon, and a Chinese-language menu.

A tray icon keeps the underlying engine running when the window is closed, restarts it with increasing backoff after a crash, and offers a recovery screen after repeated failures. A plugin marketplace browses a separate store of official-CLI-installed plugins, and a desktop-panel plugin mechanism injects a settings page for shell and engine status, logs and diagnostics export. It automatically detects each configured model's capabilities, such as whether it accepts images and its context length, from a combination of upstream metadata and a daily-refreshed cross-vendor capability catalog.
