dmux

A terminal multiplexer for running several AI coding agents in parallel, giving each one its own tmux pane and isolated git worktree and branch so they can work at the same time without conflicts.

dmux

dmux manages multiple AI coding agents in isolated git worktrees, using tmux panes so several agents can branch, develop and merge in parallel without conflicting with each other. Creating a new pane asks for a prompt and a choice of one or more agents, or a plain terminal, and dmux sets up the worktree, branch and agent launch automatically.

It supports Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Cline CLI, Gemini CLI, Qwen CLI, Amp CLI, Pi CLI, Cursor CLI, Copilot CLI and Crush CLI, can start a supported agent directly in a goal-driven mode, and names branches, commit messages and panes automatically with AI. When a task finishes, a pane menu can merge the branch back into the main branch or open a GitHub pull request directly, and a built-in file browser lets a user inspect a pane's worktree and preview code or diffs without leaving dmux. On first run it can configure a primary and backup inference provider, including API-key providers, custom OpenAI-compatible endpoints, or logins backed by an existing subscription.

It installs as an npm global package.
