Docker Hub MCP Server

A Model Context Protocol server that exposes Docker Hub's API to LLMs, so AI tools can recommend container images and manage Docker Hub repositories through natural language.

Docker Hub MCP Server

Docker Hub MCP Server gives LLMs real-time access to Docker Hub data, aimed at developers building container-based, AI-assisted workflows who would otherwise struggle to get accurate image recommendations or have to search Docker Hub manually.

It supports both a stdio transport for local use and an HTTP transport for networked use; the HTTP transport binds to loopback by default and requires authentication before it can be exposed more broadly, since every tool call it serves acts using the operator's own Docker Hub access token. The MCP Inspector tool can be used to test a running server directly.

It requires Docker and Node.js 22 or newer, and an optional Docker personal access token for authenticated operations. It is written in TypeScript and licensed under Apache-2.0.
