Draw.io MCP server

A Model Context Protocol server that lets AI agents create, inspect and edit Draw.io diagrams, such as architecture diagrams and flowcharts, through a built-in editor or a browser extension.

Draw.io MCP server

The Draw.io MCP server brings Draw.io's diagramming features to AI agents through MCP tools that create, read, update and delete diagram elements, letting an assistant build architecture diagrams, flowcharts and other visual documentation automatically. It can host a built-in Draw.io editor directly in the browser, or connect to Draw.io already running in the user's browser through an extension.

It supports multiple open documents and pages with FIFO serialization so several agents can safely work on different files, AWS, GCP, Azure and Cisco stencils discovered from Draw.io's own sidebar, import and export to XML, SVG and PNG, Mermaid diagram import and embedding, and layer management. It installs as a Claude Code plugin or through npx drawio-mcp-server install for several other MCP clients, and is written in TypeScript under the MIT license.
