dsh-mneme

A cross-session memory plugin for DeepSeek Harness that automatically deduplicates and merges memories in the background, freezes contradictions for the user to decide, and stores memory as local, human-editable Markdown files, no API key needed.

dsh-mneme

dsh-mneme is a cross-session memory plugin for DeepSeek Harness. It stores memory in SQLite with a local Markdown mirror, so a project's preferences, past decisions and context survive closing and reopening a conversation window, and a person can open and hand-edit the underlying Markdown files directly; manual edits are respected and never silently overwritten by the automatic process.

An idle-time background job deduplicates, merges, archives and corrects memories, moving frequently used items into a hot area, compressing rarely used ones into summaries, and archiving stale ones so the memory store gets more refined rather than larger over time; conflicting memories are frozen for the user to resolve rather than decided automatically, and every automatic pass leaves a replayable, hash-verified decision record. Optional scoping isolates memory per agent and per workspace, with a stricter mode that makes memory explicitly scoped to another workspace fully invisible to retrieval rather than only down-weighted.

It runs fully offline by default with local embeddings and no required API key, installs as a plugin through the DeepSeek Harness plugin command, and also ships a zero-dependency stdio MCP server so its memory can be used from other AI tools.
