Easy Code

An AI coding assistant that understands a whole project's context and autonomously calls tools to complete complex development tasks, positioned as an alternative to Claude Code and Codex.

Easy Code

Easy Code is an agent-style coding assistant rather than a single-file autocomplete tool: it scans a project's structure, understands module dependencies, analyzes code hotspots and complexity, identifies potential performance issues, and proposes and applies fixes after the developer confirms them. It builds its project understanding through the Model Context Protocol, tracing function calls, type references and imports and exports across files.

It ships built-in tools for file operations, ripgrep-based code search, shell execution, web fetch and search, an analysis sub-agent, task tracking and long-term memory, and supports hooks that run custom logic around tool execution and session start or end for automated linting, formatting or pre-commit checks. It is available as a CLI and a VS Code extension, with persistent, resumable and compressible session history and file-change checkpoints that can be rolled back.

  • rig

    tryrig.ai

A small, single-binary agent runtime that points at any OpenAI-compatible model, local or hosted, reads and edits a repository's code, runs its tests and remembers what it learned, with a loop implemented in a few hundred lines.

  • Jauvex

    jauvex.reindent.com

An Electron desktop app that puts Claude Code, Codex and Grok coding-agent sessions side by side and lets you steer them by voice, with a small model handling fast routing decisions.
