ECA IntelliJ

A free, open-source IntelliJ plugin that provides AI pair programming through Editor Code Assistant (ECA), connecting to an external eca server process for chat, code suggestions and context management inside the IDE.

ECA IntelliJ

ECA IntelliJ is an IntelliJ plugin client for Editor Code Assistant (ECA), an AI pair-programming system. It connects to an external eca server process, which the extension downloads and manages automatically, and provides an interactive chat interface with code suggestions and context management inside IntelliJ.

It is installed from the JetBrains Marketplace, after which its settings are configured under Preferences, Tools, ECA. Building the plugin from source uses Babashka tasks: one starts a Vite dev server for the shared eca-webview, another installs the plugin locally pointed at that dev server for live UI changes, and others build a production-flavored local install or a distributable zip with the development flag stripped out.
