EdgeCrab

A Rust-native personal assistant and coding agent, packaged as a single stripped binary with no Python or Node.js runtime, running a ReAct tool loop across 16 LLM providers.

EdgeCrab

EdgeCrab stays reachable through 17 messaging gateways and offers a terminal UI with a live activity shelf showing tool-progress tails, an agent-delegation dashboard for spawning, killing or replaying subagents, a queued-message composer, and an instant model hot-swap.

Built-in toolsets cover semantic code intelligence through a language server, file and terminal operations, web and browser automation, persistent memory, a skills library extendable with plugins, session search, sub-agent delegation with mixture-of-agents style collaboration, sandboxed code execution, and Model Context Protocol tool access, alongside vision, text-to-speech and transcription. It runs on Linux, macOS and Android through Termux, installs through npm, pip or Cargo, and includes a dedicated command for migrating a user's existing setup from the hermes-agent project it draws inspiration from.
