Empryo

An AI coding agent that edits code by symbol rather than by string, using AST surgery, a full LSP, and a persisted code graph, then checks its own edits with the project's typecheck, lint, and tests.

Empryo

Empryo edits a codebase by editing named symbols, such as a function or a class, rather than matching and replacing strings, reading a dependency map of the code first so it knows what an edit will touch before making it. After an edit it runs the project's own typecheck, lint, and tests and fixes what fails in the same turn, and it keeps a memory of past decisions and bugs scoped to the project.

It is available as a desktop app, a terminal tool, and a headless mode, sharing the same underlying map and memory in each. The public repository holds the SoulForge v2 core and engine under its own license; the current desktop app, newer surfaces, and newest features are developed privately and are not part of this repository.

Personal and internal business use, including paid client work and headless CI, is free; selling, hosting, wrapping, or bundling Empryo itself as a commercial offering needs a separate written commercial license from the maintainer.
