Exort

A free, open-source desktop AI coding workspace for microcontroller development that compiles and uploads Arduino, ESP32, and similar projects, and reads live serial output, all through an integrated AI coding agent.

Exort

Exort is an Electron desktop app built around OpenCode for embedded firmware development: it provides a local workspace for writing microcontroller code, an AI coding agent that inspects the workspace, explains code, and edits files, a board manager that installs and manages Arduino CLI platforms and cores, automatic or manual compile-and-upload, and both a serial monitor for logs and debug output and a serial plotter for graphing numeric sensor or calibration data.

It targets Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, RP2040, STM32, Teensy, and similar boards, and is aimed at people building or learning embedded projects who want AI help through a fast edit-compile-upload-observe cycle. It can use OpenCode's included free models or a separately configured provider.

For security, the renderer UI never talks to OpenCode, the filesystem, serial ports, or Arduino tools directly; all of that goes through a preload IPC boundary into the Electron main process. Running it needs Arduino CLI and, when building from source, Node.js 20 or newer.

  • The City

    github.com

A native macOS app that shows Claude Code runs as a city, with each project as a building, each team as a floor of robots, and every animation driven by a real event from the claude CLI's stream.

  • rig

    tryrig.ai

A small, single-binary agent runtime that points at any OpenAI-compatible model, local or hosted, reads and edits a repository's code, runs its tests and remembers what it learned, with a loop implemented in a few hundred lines.

  • Jauvex

    jauvex.reindent.com

An Electron desktop app that puts Claude Code, Codex and Grok coding-agent sessions side by side and lets you steer them by voice, with a small model handling fast routing decisions.
