FanBox

FanBox is a macOS desktop app putting a local file browser, live file previews and a real embedded terminal in one window, so a developer can find scattered agent-created projects, run Claude Code or Codex, and watch exactly which files it changes.

FanBox

FanBox is described as a cockpit for coding agents: it browses, previews and edits local files on one side of the window while a real embedded terminal on the other side runs Claude Code, Codex or any other coding agent. Every time the agent writes a file, that file's card lights up, so a developer can find a file, run an agent, and see what changed without switching between separate windows for a file manager, a terminal and a browser.

It does not compete with a file manager on file operations or with a code editor on editing; it focuses on the chain of finding a file, previewing it, making light edits, and directing an agent. It is local-first, with no cloud component, no remote service and no account, and ships three visually distinct interface skins that change the color palette, typography, icons, code highlighting and terminal color theme together.
