fedlex-mcp

An MCP server that connects AI assistants to three official Swiss data sources for federal law, pending legal consultations and official multilingual legal terminology.

fedlex-mcp

The server queries the Fedlex SPARQL endpoint for the Systematic and Official Compilations, the Federal Gazette and treaties, and for open consultations in the pre-parliamentary phase, and queries the LINDAS SPARQL endpoint for the Federal Chancellery's TERMDAT terminology database for official term equivalents across German, French, Italian, Romansh and English.

It exposes 12 tools and 2 resources, needs no API key since all data is under open reuse licenses, and supports both stdio for Claude Desktop and Streamable HTTP for cloud use; a single query can chain tools across both endpoints, for example finding open education-related consultations, their deadlines, and the relevant technical terms in French and Italian.

It is part of a wider Swiss Public Data MCP portfolio and is written in Python with FastMCP.
