flex

A local tool that compiles coding-agent sessions, folders and repositories into self-describing SQLite cells an agent can query by SQL, keyword or meaning through MCP.

flex

flex compiles coding-agent session history, folders, repositories and other supported data sources into self-describing SQLite "cells." An agent can inspect a cell, narrow its data with SQL, search it by keyword or meaning, and follow results back to source evidence, all through one MCP tool. A cell keeps the schema, relationships, identity and provenance of its source rather than flattening everything into a pile of chunks, and flex runs locally by default with no hosted retrieval service required.

It installs for Claude Code or Codex CLI with a shell script that creates a cell from existing session history, configures the MCP server, and starts a background refresh; session transcripts can contain prompts, tool output and local paths, and the resulting cell is stored locally under a hidden flex directory. Each cell ships a recommended first query as an orientation preset.

The native installer supports macOS and Linux; an experimental Windows container distribution runs the released package through Docker Desktop or WSL2 instead.
