Foxel

Foxel is a self-hosted, extensible private cloud storage platform for individuals and teams that unifies local storage, S3, WebDAV, SFTP, FTP and cloud drives such as Google Drive and OneDrive behind one interface, adding AI-powered natural-language search over file contents.

Foxel

Foxel is a self-hosted private cloud storage platform with a pluggable adapter architecture for storage backends, covering standard protocols such as local storage, S3-compatible storage, WebDAV, SFTP and FTP, cloud drives such as Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox and Quark, and special adapters including Telegram and Foxel-to-Foxel transfer.

Beyond unified browsing, upload, download, move, copy and delete across those backends, it adds AI-powered semantic search that finds content inside images, documents and other unstructured data using configurable embedding providers and vector databases such as Milvus or Qdrant, in-browser preview for images, video, PDFs, Office documents and code, role-based access control with path-level rules, expiring share links, a plugin system for adding frontend components and backend routes, and a background task-processing center for indexing and backups.
