Freebuff

Five free AI coding, building and research products, spanning a desktop app, a terminal CLI, a web app builder, a GitHub-connected cloud runner and a chat assistant, with no subscription or API key required.

Freebuff

Freebuff is a set of five free AI products for coding, building and research, requiring no subscription, credits or API key, supported instead by embedded text advertisements. Freebuff Desktop runs parallel agents locally on macOS, Windows or Linux; Freebuff CLI codes from a terminal after a global npm install; Freebuff Web builds and ships full-stack apps in the browser; Freebuff Cloud runs agents directly against a connected GitHub repository; and Freebuff Chat is for research and thinking with AI rather than writing code.

Run inside a project directory, the CLI takes a natural-language description of a change, finds the relevant files, makes the edits, and runs the checks that matter for that project. Freebuff includes a curated catalog of models with different access levels, context sizes and specialties, spanning several vendors, so a task can be matched to a model suited to it rather than a single fixed default.

  • rig

    tryrig.ai

A small, single-binary agent runtime that points at any OpenAI-compatible model, local or hosted, reads and edits a repository's code, runs its tests and remembers what it learned, with a loop implemented in a few hundred lines.

  • Jauvex

    jauvex.reindent.com

An Electron desktop app that puts Claude Code, Codex and Grok coding-agent sessions side by side and lets you steer them by voice, with a small model handling fast routing decisions.
