gawkbot

An open-source alternative to xAI's Grok Bot that runs always-on AI bots on the user's own machine, turning a described workflow into a microapp with a human approval gate on every external action.

gawkbot

gawkbot lets a user describe a manual workflow in one sentence, or demonstrate it once on a call, and have an AI agent build a bot that runs it, with its own schedule, tools and screen, across more than 1,200 integrations. It runs locally on the user's own machine and account rather than in a vendor's cloud, using a coding agent CLI the user already has, such as Claude Code, Codex or Opencode, or a local model.

Every external action the bot takes, such as sending a message, making a commit, a purchase or a delete, waits for the user's explicit approval before it happens. It is free and open source under a Sustainable Use License, and it installs and launches with npx gawkbot.
