Gemini Coding Assistant MCP Server

An MCP server that lets Claude Code consult Google's Gemini model for complex coding problems, sending full code context and keeping the conversation going across follow-up questions.

Gemini Coding Assistant MCP Server

Gemini Coding Assistant MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol server that gives Claude Code a way to ask Gemini for a second opinion on complex coding problems. It maintains session state so a conversation with Gemini can continue across multiple queries, reads and attaches actual code files rather than only pasted text, and lets a user ask follow-up questions without resending the original code context.

Code context and file content are cached per session, several sessions can run in parallel for different problems, and inactive sessions are cleaned up automatically after an hour. It defaults to a current stable Gemini model.

The server works standalone, but is designed to pair with a separate Claude Code Development Kit, which can automatically attach project-specific context files to new Gemini sessions, scan for sensitive data before it reaches an external AI service, and let other commands call on Gemini automatically for complex problems.
