gentle-shell

gentle-shell is a coding-agent harness built for Pi that turns a terminal session into a workspace: agent orchestration, live changes and runtime status, usage monitoring for supported provider accounts, and built-in diff views, so a developer can see and direct what the agent is doing instead of reading scrollback.

Its everyday workflow, called Organic Driven Development, has the agent explore a codebase before changing anything, clarify only real decisions, and write one recoverable feature document for substantial work so progress and evidence survive an interruption. Focused, package-owned subagents can map a codebase, implement a bounded change, or verify it while one parent agent stays accountable for the result, and a native review step evaluates the exact change made rather than a moving target.
