ghcrawl

A local-first command-line tool and terminal UI that crawls a GitHub repository's issues and pull requests, generates embeddings for them, and clusters related work for maintainers to browse.

ghcrawl

ghcrawl is a local-first crawler for GitHub issues and pull requests aimed at repository maintainers. It pulls open issues and PRs, summarizes changed items when needed, generates embeddings, and rebuilds clusters of related work that can be browsed in a terminal UI.

A typical session runs an init, configure, doctor, refresh and tui command in sequence. Normal use needs both a GitHub personal access token and an OpenAI API key, though an already-populated local database can still be browsed without live keys. Setup can store keys in plain text or through a 1Password CLI integration.

Vectors are stored in a persistent sidecar index, with one vector per open thread, and the tool installs as a global npm package.
