GitHub Copilot for Azure

A set of extensions for Visual Studio, VS Code and Claude Code that adds Azure-specific skills and an MCP server so an AI assistant can answer questions about a user's Azure services and help with Azure management and development from inside the IDE.

GitHub Copilot for Azure

GitHub Copilot for Azure installs a collection of skills that teach an AI assistant how to work with Azure resources, plus an MCP server that lets the assistant make real calls against Azure, all without leaving the IDE. It is distributed for Visual Studio 2022 and 2026, VS Code, and Claude Code, and requires Git and Node.js to be installed since the Azure MCP server needs them.

In VS Code the extension installs its skills automatically on activation, with manual commands to install or uninstall them globally or per workspace. In Copilot CLI and Claude Code it is added as a plugin from a marketplace, using each tool's own plugin installation commands.
