Golf

A Python framework for building MCP servers by writing tools, prompts and resources as individual files in a conventional directory structure, which Golf discovers and compiles into a runnable server.

Golf

Golf streamlines building MCP server applications: a developer defines a server's tools, prompts and resources as plain Python files inside a conventional directory layout, and Golf discovers, parses and compiles them into a runnable server, targeting FastMCP and the current MCP protocol version. A module's docstring becomes that component's description, and components can be organized into nested subdirectories.

It adds authentication (JWT, an OAuth server, or development tokens), built-in utilities for LLM interactions, and automatic telemetry integration, configured through a project's golf.json and a dedicated auth.py file. It installs with pip, scaffolds a new project with golf init, and a development server started with golf build dev and golf run serves the project, by default on port 3000.
