Grok Build

Grok Build is SpaceXAI's terminal-based AI coding agent, distributed as the grok command-line tool. It runs as a full-screen TUI that understands a codebase, edits files, executes shell commands, searches the web, and manages long-running tasks, either interactively, headlessly for scripting and CI, or embedded in editors through the Agent Client Protocol (ACP).

The repository holds the Rust source for the CLI/TUI and its agent runtime, synced periodically from an internal monorepo, with a file recording the exact commit the tree was synced from. Prebuilt binaries are published for macOS, Linux and Windows, and building from source needs a pinned Rust toolchain, the DotSlash tool runner, and protoc.

On first launch it opens a browser to authenticate. It is written in Rust and licensed Apache-2.0.
