HA-MCP Custom Component

An MCP server that runs inside Home Assistant, letting AI assistants control smart-home devices, query states, run services and manage automations through natural language.

HA-MCP Custom Component

HA-MCP Custom Component is a HACS-distributed integration that runs the full ha-mcp Model Context Protocol server in-process inside Home Assistant, working across every installation type: Home Assistant OS, Supervised, Container and Core, with no separate access token to manage. It exposes Home Assistant's devices, states, services and automations as MCP tools so an AI assistant can act on a smart home using natural language.

Users install it from HACS as a custom repository and can opt into a pre-release channel for development builds before they reach the stable release. The maintainers note this component is a mirror carrying no hand-made changes; the source of truth and its issue tracker live in the separate main ha-mcp repository.
