handmux

A self-hosted mobile terminal that mirrors a computer's live tmux sessions onto a phone or desktop browser, so a coding agent such as Claude Code or Codex can be steered and reviewed remotely.

handmux

handmux puts the same live tmux workspace running on a computer into any phone or desktop browser, without a separate remote session, phone app, or account. Starting it prints a QR code carrying a sign-in token; scanning it opens the real tmux panes already running, so an ongoing terminal session, agent conversation, git status, app preview or documentation stays reachable from a phone.

It needs tmux and Node 22 or newer on the computer; the phone only needs a browser. Local use works over the same Wi-Fi network with nothing exposed externally, and an optional flag adds a free public HTTPS tunnel through Cloudflare for reaching the session from anywhere.

It is self-hosted, with no relay or account service in between, and is written in TypeScript under the AGPL-3.0 license.
