HeiGe Codex Skin Studio

A one-click theme and skin switcher for the OpenAI Codex Desktop app on macOS and Windows, applying a custom look through Chrome DevTools Protocol injection without modifying the application itself.

HeiGe Codex Skin Studio

Any single image becomes a theme; once installed, switching skins is one click from a top menu, with an equally quick restore to the native interface. The tool ships thirteen built-in presets and supports custom images with automatic color extraction, and the sidebar, input box and suggestion cards remain the app's real, interactive native controls throughout.

On macOS, an independent "HeiGe skin launcher" can open or close the current skin for Codex and for a second supported app, Tencent's CodeBuddy desktop client (branded WorkBuddy in the project), and offers one-click repair and a diagnostic log. On Windows, install and restore scripts avoid modifying app.asar, application binaries or signed resources, and a persistence option registers a login task so the skin controller starts with Windows.

WorkBuddy support applies a one-time skin without a persistent background controller, since its renderer runs as a local file:// page whose control-service requests carry a null origin, which the tool avoids trusting.
