Hermes Agent CN Desktop

A Windows-first native desktop client for Hermes Agent's Chinese-community core, built with Tauri, Rust and React, adding a local window shell around the existing agent dashboard.

Hermes Agent CN Desktop

Hermes Agent CN Desktop is a native Windows and macOS desktop client for the Hermes Agent Chinese community's modified core, built on Tauri 2, Rust, React and TypeScript. Hermes Agent already provides a local web dashboard; this project focuses on what sits outside that dashboard: a native window, local process management, file dialogs, managed installation of the underlying agent runtime, runtime diagnostics, and a safer REST proxy layer with a WebSocket relay for production packaging where needed.

The desktop shell can install, update, verify and roll back the local Hermes Agent core with health checks, and its interface covers chat with streaming replies, attachments, MCP tools, skills, memory, provider profiles, scheduled tasks, and LaTeX and Mermaid rendering. It supports mainstream cloud model providers as well as local deployments such as Ollama, vLLM and LM Studio, and includes an opt-in high-risk mode that auto-approves dangerous commands after explicit confirmation. It is written in TypeScript and is still an early release candidate.
