HermesPet
HermesPet is a native macOS menu-bar companion that puts several AI chat and coding-agent sessions, including Claude Code, Codex, QwenCode and Kimi, into one control panel, showing each session's connection state and execution steps at a glance.
HermesPet lives near the MacBook's notch and screen edges: a real-time task entry sits under the notch, and an always-available action panel opens from the screen edge, alongside a small on-screen character that reacts to the active AI mode and reminds the user when a task finishes. It can connect to online model providers with a user-supplied API key, and can also reuse the local sign-in of already-installed terminals such as Claude Code, Codex, QwenCode and Kimi, showing each one's connection status, execution steps and errors rather than only a final answer.
Multiple conversations can run in parallel, each bound to its own AI mode, continuing in the background and notifying the user on completion; a companion iPhone and Apple Watch app, still in development, is meant to let a user view progress, approve sensitive actions, and continue a conversation away from the desktop. Other features include screen capture and region selection sent directly to the current AI, push-to-talk voice input from any app, drag-and-drop files or images, and a system diagnostics view for CPU, memory, temperature, storage and network.
History stays on the local machine, with keyword, topic and importance-based recall. It is a native Swift and SwiftUI application requiring macOS 14 or later.
