HexxlaDB

An embedded Go database that stores records at hex grid coordinates, retrieving context by expanding outward in rings while tracking provenance, confidence, contradictions and optional HNSW vector embeddings per record.

HexxlaDB

HexxlaDB is an embedded Go library for structured, spatially organized records stored at hex grid coordinates. Retrieval expands outward in rings from a seed coordinate, stays within an explicit result limit, and can respect a record's validity window; each cell carries provenance, confidence and an optional temporal bound, and conflicts or supersessions between cells are stored explicitly as linked seam records rather than silently overwritten.

A caller can place a new record at a deterministically selected free coordinate near a semantic anchor the application supplies, since HexxlaDB itself does not infer semantic position from content, tags, embeddings or an LLM, or write directly to a known coordinate, which intentionally replaces whatever record is currently visible there. An edge type layers a directed graph relationship over cells, a facet holds a summary or annotation checked against a source-content hash, and an optional HNSW index attaches a vector embedding to a cell for similarity search. Nine runnable examples cover conversational memory, LLM context assembly, spatial algorithms, a remote-access ownership boundary and reproducible evidence workloads.

It is a single binary with no network dependencies or daemon, supports MVCC, and is installed with go get.
