jirac

A single-binary Jira command-line client written in Rust, with a mouse-driven terminal interface for browsing, editing and bulk-managing issues, plus a bundled MCP server that exposes Jira as tools for editors and AI agents.

jirac

jirac is a Jira command-line client with no runtime dependencies, running as one binary on macOS, Linux and Windows, and supporting both Jira Cloud and Jira Data Center. It stores multiple login profiles and discovers a Jira instance's custom fields at runtime, so there is little to configure beyond entering credentials.

Its interactive terminal interface supports mouse and keyboard navigation for browsing, searching, creating, editing, transitioning, assigning, commenting and uploading attachments to issues, with a split master-detail layout that keeps the issue list visible next to a selected issue's comments, worklog, attachments, subtasks and links. It also supports bulk operations driven by a JQL query, explicit issue keys or a JSON manifest, an interactive query builder, raw REST API passthrough, and an MCP server that exposes Jira as typed tools for editors and AI coding agents.
