Jobless Joke Language (JJL)

A Brainfuck-inspired esoteric programming language adding absolute memory navigation, multiplier arithmetic, non-destructive inspection and inline conditionals, with its own interpreter.

Jobless Joke Language (JJL)

Jobless Joke Language (JJL) is an esoteric programming language inspired by Brainfuck's eight-instruction, tape-based memory model. It keeps that simplicity while adding absolute memory navigation through @ sequences, multiplier arithmetic using * chains, non-destructive memory inspection with $, and inline conditional expressions supporting equality and inequality checks.

Programs run on a dynamically expandable tape of unsigned 8-bit cells, starting at 32,768 cells and growing in increments of 1,024 as needed; arithmetic wraps at the 8-bit boundary, and the memory pointer cannot move to a negative position. JJL source files use the .jjl extension and are executed by the bundled interpreter, JJLI, which processes a program's standard, navigation, arithmetic and conditional instructions in sequence.

It is written in C++ and released under the MIT license.
