JW MCP Server

JW MCP Server is an MCP server exposing JW.org content - Bible scripture lookup with study notes, workbook materials, Watchtower articles and video captions - to AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Grok.

JW MCP Server

The server can be added to Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf and other MCP clients through npx, or run in Docker as a self-hosted connector reachable over HTTPS from Claude.ai, Grok or ChatGPT's custom connector features. The documentation is specific about the operational details of that self-hosted path: it must run behind a reverse proxy terminating TLS on port 443, since Claude.ai will not connect to a custom connector on any other port, authentication must stay enabled, and a trusted-proxy header setting should only be turned on when exactly one proxy sits in front of the server.

Access to the self-hosted deployment is gated by a long access key that a client enters when it first connects.

It is written in JavaScript.
