Kagi MCP Server

The official MCP server for Kagi Search, exposing web, news, video, podcast and image search with page extraction, filters and Kagi lenses, plus full-page-to-markdown extraction, to MCP-compatible clients.

Kagi MCP Server

The server currently offers two tools: kagi_search_fetch for web, news, video, podcast and image search with optional page extracts and filters, and kagi_extract for pulling a page's full content as markdown; two earlier tools, a FastGPT tool and a summarizer, have been removed and are planned to return.

Kagi runs a hosted MCP server at https://mcp.kagi.com/mcp that needs no install, authenticated with a Kagi API key over Bearer HTTP authentication, since OAuth2 support is still on the roadmap. It can also be installed locally with uvx or self-hosted, and is configured in Codex CLI, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Smithery, Kiro or OpenCode by adding it to each client's MCP configuration with a KAGI_API_KEY.
