Kibana MCP Server

An MCP server that lets an AI assistant search and manage a Kibana instance's saved objects using natural language, over either a local stdio connection or a remote HTTP endpoint.

Kibana MCP Server

Kibana MCP Server is a community-maintained Model Context Protocol server that gives an MCP-compatible client, such as Claude Desktop, access to a Kibana instance through natural-language or programmatic requests. It is built from the official Kibana OpenAPI specification for Elastic Stack 8.x and is not an official Elastic or MCP product.

It supports both a local stdio transport and a remote HTTP transport with session management, several authentication methods including API key, basic auth and cookie-based login, multiple Kibana spaces, and custom certificate configuration for TLS. Its main capability is full CRUD access to Kibana's saved objects, with search and pagination, bulk operations, optimistic-concurrency version control, and management of references between objects, plus dynamic discovery of the underlying API from Kibana's own specification.

It is written in TypeScript and installed as a global npm package or run directly with a package runner.
