Knolo

A format and runtime that packages organizational knowledge as a single portable, cryptographically verifiable file so it can be mounted, queried and proven rather than trapped inside one application's database.

Knolo

Knolo turns organizational knowledge into a portable runtime artifact called a Knowledge Image, so it can be inspected, verified, migrated and run rather than staying trapped inside one proprietary database. Every image has deterministic encodings, domain-separated SHA-256 roots, bounded sections and a commit history, aimed at making an AI system's knowledge traceable to evidence and reproducible across environments.

It preserves source, chunk, claim and citation identity through retrieval and agent execution, and separates storage, verification, retrieval, policy and agent execution so a product can adopt only the pieces it needs. It is written in TypeScript, local-first, and does not require a vector database. It is Apache-2.0 licensed.
