Magic MCP

A compatibility proxy for the 21st MCP server, which searches over 10,000 React and Tailwind components, generates new UI with AI, and lets a user publish their own.

Magic MCP

Magic MCP was the original name of this server; it has been replaced by the unified 21st MCP, installed and configured through the 21st CLI, and this package now exists only as a thin stdio proxy so configurations referencing the old @21st-dev/magic package keep working unchanged, forwarding every MCP message to the current 21st MCP server. New setups should install the 21st MCP directly rather than this proxy.

With AI generation access enabled on an account, the server exposes generate and iterate_generation tools; without it, search and get_component remain available so a user can still find and adapt existing components with their own coding agent. The proxy also translates legacy Magic tool names, such as 21st_magic_component_builder, to their current equivalents automatically, so an agent that still remembers the old names continues to work.

It is written in TypeScript and distributed under the ISC license.
