MATLAB MCP Server

The official MATLAB Model Context Protocol server from MathWorks, letting AI applications such as Claude Code and VS Code Copilot start MATLAB, write and run code, and check style.

MATLAB MCP Server

MATLAB MCP Server is the official Model Context Protocol server from MathWorks for running MATLAB from AI applications. It lets a connected AI client start and quit a MATLAB session, write and run MATLAB code, and assess that code for style and correctness, and companion MATLAB Agentic Toolkit and Simulink Agentic Toolkit projects add further skills and can install the server automatically.

It requires MATLAB R2021a or later on the system path, and is set up separately for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, GitHub Copilot in Visual Studio Code, or Codex, either by downloading a prebuilt release for Windows, Linux or macOS or by building it from source with Go. It is written in Go, and documentation is available in English, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.
