MaverickMCP

MaverickMCP is a personal-use FastMCP server that gives any MCP client, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor or VS Code, tools for stock data analysis, technical indicators, stock screening and portfolio tracking, running entirely on the user's own machine.

MaverickMCP

MaverickMCP is a FastMCP server built for individual traders and investors rather than commercial use, exposing 37 core financial-analysis tools over the Model Context Protocol with no authentication or billing to configure. Core tools need no API key, since market data comes from yfinance, covering historical and real-time quotes, technical indicators such as RSI and MACD, bullish, bearish and supply/demand stock screening, and portfolio tracking with cost basis, live profit and loss, a risk dashboard, watchlists and a trade journal.

Two optional extras add more tools when installed: a backtesting extra powered by VectorBT with 12 rule-based and 8 machine-learning strategy templates, optimization, walk-forward analysis and Monte Carlo simulation, and a research extra using LangGraph for deep research over companies, sectors and market sentiment with a user-supplied LLM key.

It connects to any MCP client over STDIO or Streamable HTTP, uses a tiered memory, Redis or SQLite cache, is written in Python 3.12+ managed with uv, and is MIT licensed.
