mcp-cli

A command-line inspector for Model Context Protocol servers that lists and calls their tools, resources and prompts interactively or from a config file.

mcp-cli

mcp-cli runs MCP servers from various sources, including local processes, npm packages, and remote servers over Streamable HTTP or SSE with OAuth support, then lets a developer list and invoke tools, read resources and read prompts. It can read the same configuration file format used by Claude Desktop, or connect directly with a URL.

A non-interactive mode runs a specific tool, resource or prompt without prompts, which is useful for scripting and automated testing of an MCP server. It also includes a command to purge stored data such as OAuth tokens.
