MCP Framework for MATLAB Production Server
A framework that publishes MATLAB functions as Model Context Protocol tools on MATLAB Production Server, letting AI agents call MATLAB functions and read reference data such as calibration tables.
MCP Framework for MATLAB Production Server publishes MATLAB functions as Model Context Protocol tools running on MATLAB Production Server, so any MCP client, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code or VS Code with Copilot, can call those functions. A single MATLAB command deploys a function as an MCP tool to a running Production Server instance, after which any connected MCP client can use it immediately.
It supports packaging single functions or multi-tool servers, handles large data and structured inputs, and can serve read-only reference data such as material properties or calibration tables as MCP resources alongside the tools, so a model uses real values instead of guessing. Built-in server metrics monitor deployed tools at the framework, server and tool level, and a discovery endpoint lets clients find deployed tools automatically. An installable agent skill lets Claude Code build and deploy MATLAB Production Server MCP tools from natural-language instructions.
It requires MATLAB R2025b or later, MATLAB Compiler SDK, and MATLAB Production Server R2022a or later, and installs through the MATLAB Add-On Explorer.
