mcp-k8s

A Model Context Protocol server that lets an LLM client query and manage a Kubernetes cluster, including custom resources and Helm releases.

mcp-k8s

mcp-k8s is an MCP server that connects language model clients to a Kubernetes cluster through kubeconfig. It exposes read operations such as getting and listing resources with filters, and write operations to create, update and delete resources, including custom resource definitions; each operation can be enabled or disabled independently.

It also manages Helm: listing, installing, upgrading and uninstalling releases, and adding or removing repositories, again with per-operation control.

The project targets natural-language cluster management and diagnosis, generating resource configurations that follow best practices and querying cluster status without memorizing kubectl commands. It is written in Go and licensed under Apache-2.0.
