MCP Kotlin SDK

MCP Kotlin SDK implements the Model Context Protocol for Kotlin Multiplatform projects, so a single codebase can build MCP clients that connect to any MCP server, or MCP servers that expose resources, prompts and tools, and target JVM, Native, JS and Wasm.

It supports standard transports, including stdio, Server-Sent Events, Streamable HTTP and WebSocket, plus an in-process ChannelTransport for testing, and exposes MCP protocol concepts such as capabilities, prompts, resources, tools, completion, logging, pagination, roots and sampling through coroutine-friendly APIs. It is published to Maven Central as an umbrella artifact or separate client-only and server-only packages, and is maintained in collaboration with JetBrains.
