MCP Unity

A Unity Editor plugin that implements the Model Context Protocol, letting AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex CLI and GitHub Copilot inspect and operate on a Unity project through a Node.js bridge server.

MCP Unity

MCP Unity is a Unity Editor package that implements the Model Context Protocol so AI assistants including Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, Codex CLI, GitHub Copilot and Google Antigravity can execute operations inside a Unity project. It bridges the Unity Editor to a Node.js server that speaks the MCP protocol to the connected assistant.

Its MCP tools can execute Unity menu items, select GameObjects by path or instance ID, update a GameObject's core properties or create it if missing, update or add components and their fields, install packages through the Unity Package Manager, run tests with the Unity Test Runner, send console logs, and add assets from the Asset Database to a scene. It also integrates with VSCode-like IDEs by adding Unity's package cache to the workspace, improving code completion and dependency awareness for Unity packages.

It is written in C#.
