mcp2cli

A tool that turns any MCP server, OpenAPI specification, or GraphQL endpoint into a command-line interface at runtime, without generating any code.

mcp2cli

mcp2cli inspects an MCP server, an OpenAPI specification, or a GraphQL endpoint at runtime and exposes its operations as CLI commands, instead of requiring a code generation step. It supports MCP over HTTP and SSE, or over stdio, and can search or list available operations across all of its modes.

It handles OAuth authentication end to end, including token acquisition, caching, and automatic refresh, with a manual callback mode for headless hosts that have no browser of their own, and it can read secret values such as API keys from environment variables or files instead of taking them as plain command-line arguments. An installable skill teaches AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex how to use it, including generating a new skill from an API.

It is written in Python and released under the MIT license.
