mcpfy

An SDK for building MCP servers, tools, prompts, resources and interactive widgets, that stays close to the official MCP SDK while removing repetitive setup code.

mcpfy

mcpfy scaffolds a new MCP server with one command, defaulting to an example weather widget or, with a flag, to a tools-only server offering an add tool, a greeting resource and a greet prompt. It supports both HTTP and stdio transports built in, and exposes full access to the underlying official MCP SDK when its own smaller API is not enough.

Widgets are authored as React component folders and registered with a single line in a tool definition, producing one UI implementation that works across MCP-UI, MCP Apps and the OpenAI Apps SDK, rather than writing a separate widget per surface. A companion client library connects to a server, opens a session and calls its tools directly from TypeScript code.

It ships a development and build command for widgets, and example projects covering both a tools-only server and the default weather widget.
