MiMo Code

MiMo Code is a terminal-native AI coding assistant that can read and write code, run commands and manage Git, using a persistent memory system to keep a deep understanding of a project across sessions while continuing to refine itself. It connects to any mainstream large language model provider's API, and can be set up through OAuth login to the Xiaomi MiMo platform or to Codex, or by importing existing Claude Code authentication in one step.

It also serves as the core engine behind the separate Xiaomi MiMo Desktop app, which adds smart orchestration that evaluates a task's type and cost before choosing models, frameworks and tools, and can run complex tasks across several agents in parallel; iterative multi-format editing of files, slide decks, web pages, three-dimensional assets and apps with in-session preview and version rollback; cost controls for long-running tasks through cached, region-limited edits; and browser control for opening pages, retrieving information and filling in forms.

It installs through a one-line script on macOS, Linux or Windows, or through npm.
