MiniAgent

A minimal, transparent CLI agent framework that combines Claude Code-style code editing with Manus-style OS control, built around a single readable core file with no hidden abstractions.

MiniAgent

MiniAgent is a CLI agent framework built as one core file, agent.py, that a developer can read end to end and modify freely. Its Code Agent mode writes code, fixes bugs and runs tests, and its OS Agent mode controls the browser, edits documents and manages other applications, both by having the model write and run small bash or Python snippets rather than calling a large set of pre-built tools.

It works with DeepSeek, OpenAI, Gemini, Claude and any other OpenAI-compatible model, supports both text-parsed and native function-calling tool modes, and includes a skill system with built-in coder, researcher, reviewer and tester roles plus a task-decomposition orchestrator for multi-role collaboration. It guards against destructive commands by intercepting them for confirmation before execution. Python, Apache-2.0 licensed.
