Mistral Vibe

Mistral's open-source command-line coding assistant, offering a conversational interface to a codebase powered by Mistral's own models.

Mistral Vibe

Mistral Vibe lets a developer use natural language to explore, modify and interact with a project through a set of tools; it works on Windows but officially targets Unix environments.

Its interactive chat agent breaks complex tasks into steps; tools read, write and patch files, execute shell commands through managed shell sessions, recursively search code with grep and ripgrep support, manage a todo list, ask interactive questions to gather input, and delegate tasks to subagents for parallel work. It also supports a skills system for custom slash commands, MCP server configuration, OpenTelemetry tracing, and a trust-folder system for controlling what it can touch.

It installs with a one-line script, uv, or pip; it is written in Python and licensed under Apache-2.0.
