MobileBuildMCP
An MCP server and CLI that gives an AI coding agent direct tools for building, running, and debugging iOS and macOS Xcode projects.
MobileBuildMCP ships as one package offering both a CLI for direct terminal use and an MCP server for AI agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex, with either install method providing both modes. Its mcp subcommand starts the MCP server while every other command gives direct terminal access to the same underlying tools, including log capture and debugging through a per-workspace daemon that starts automatically when needed.
Optional agent skills prime an agent either on how to use the MCP server's tools or how to navigate the CLI, and the tool requests that xcodebuild skip macro validation to avoid errors on projects using Swift Macros. Device-targeted tools require code signing to already be configured in Xcode.
It requires macOS 14.5 and Xcode 16 or later, is written in TypeScript, and sends only internal runtime error telemetry through Sentry, with an opt-out.
