ModelContextProtocol.jl
A Julia implementation of the server side of the Model Context Protocol, letting a Julia application expose tools, resources and prompts to language models such as Claude in a standardized way.
ModelContextProtocol.jl implements the server side of the Model Context Protocol in Julia, supporting both the current stateless specification and legacy session-based versions on the same endpoint, so a client negotiating any of several protocol dates can connect. Its mcp_server function is the main entry point for creating and configuring a server, registering tools, resources and prompts either manually or automatically, and organizing them by directory.
It passes the official MCP conformance suite for both the modern and legacy protocol paths, tested in continuous integration on every change, and supports stdio and Streamable HTTP with Server-Sent Events as transports. Tools can return text, image, audio or embedded-resource content, declare a structured output schema, report progress during long-running work, run as detached background tasks with status notifications, and request additional input from the client mid-task. It is released under the MIT license.
