n8n-as-code

An independent toolkit that lets an AI coding agent browse, edit, validate and deploy n8n workflows from VS Code, Cursor or the terminal, with Git-based version control and TypeScript workflow files.

n8n-as-code

n8n-as-code turns a repository into a full n8n development workspace for both people and AI agents. It generates grounded schemas, examples and node knowledge so an agent can work safely on real n8n workflows, converts workflows into readable .workflow.ts TypeScript files, and supports pulling and pushing workflows explicitly so changes can be reviewed and version-controlled like any other code.

A VS Code or Cursor extension provides an editor-native interface, and a Claude Code plugin adds an n8n-architect skill for workspace setup and validation from the terminal. It can also verify workflows, inspect credentials, run tests and check executions against a selected n8n environment. It is an independent community project, not affiliated with n8n, and is written in TypeScript under the MIT license.
